Taylor began her YouTube career by recording ASMR videos using her mobile phone. After achieving 50,000 subscribers within a month of uploading her first video, she was featured in a game video made by PewDiePie. The reason for this was difficulties with her new technology and becoming overwhelmed by the popularity of her channel. Wired UK reported that in February 2019 she earned $1000 per day from advertisements on her YouTube channel.

Helfer was raised in the rural area of Donalda, Alberta, Canada in Canada, the children of Dennis Helfer and Elaine Helfer. Her parents are of German and English descendance. She went to William E. Hay Composite High School situated in Stettler. Three of her sisters Tammy, Tara and Trena were employed and resided on the family's farm. An agent scout spotted Helfer when she was 17 while she was standing in line for a screening.
